Welcome to the roller-coaster from hell.

In late July 2006, my wonderful wife of 20+ years and I got the pathology report on the lump we had noticed in her breast. It is a tumor and she has breast cancer.Invasive lobular carcinoma, to be precise. Based on size, at least Stage II (maybe III – mammography, ultrasound, and MRI give different measurements) and we won't know any better until after surgery and the pathologists have had their say about the lump. This is not entirely a surprise – two of my wife's 1st-degree female relatives died from what started out as breast cancer. But it SUCKS ROYALLY to find out NOW. WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, NOW?! (Or at all?)
